There must be very few people who have not heard of the devastation that has hit Southest Asia.

The death toll since the earthquake and tidal waves has risen to 140,000 and may rise further. Aid agencies now face the biggest emergency operation ever mounted. They are distributing food, water, medicine, disinfectants and other non-food items to the survivors such as hygiene kits, but much more is needed.

It was a number of Weymouth band members reflecting on this mass destruction who got together.
